Story – Arman @ Tāmaki College

Today I read a story from a ToiToi book, which was written by Dani Maguire, age 11 and illustrated by Tyla Pestana.

I like this story because of the descriptive language used in describing “THE BON FIRE” The title.

This story is about a bon fire on the beach and the little sparks of ash just flying into the night sky while the waves are thrashing and branches falling. The bon fire went deeper into the night and finally it stopped but the sparks just kept flying.

I think the author must have been feeling like she needed some peacefulness as this is what I think the story is about.
