Tech

Over the past few weeks the year 8’s at our school have been having food tech at Tamaki college. We have been making very Delicious meals and learning a few cooking tips and tricks. Our teachers name is Mrs Heka.

My favorite meal we have made so far is Mac n Cheese.

I really like this rotation and even though I am vegetarian she will always give me a substitute for the meat.

Should School Uniforms Be Compulsory?

Having school uniforms removes most of our daily problems, such as doing the laundry which uses quite a lot of water which is expensive, moreover NZ has a shortage of water.

School uniforms STOP! Descrimination against other students whos family is slightly less finacialy wealthy. For example if person A comes to school wearing a Nike shirt and person B comes to school wearing a cheap warehouse shirt, person A could say “Hey look at your cheap  shirt, I have a $200 t-shirt” It would make a bad school environment.

Would you want that?

Would you like to go to a school like that to teach or learn?

Convenience is something everybody wants but not everybod has, so why would you want to increase your amount of work to try and figure out what your going to wear to school today. Therefore having school uniforms is better because all you have to do is put it in the bathroom ready for the next day and not worry about the dress code you need to meet.

You would want that right?

Pride is important because when your out on school field trips the people of the public could say some nice things about your school after looking at what school your are at by looking at the badge on your shirt, jersey or jacket. Whereas in a nonuniform school, you maybe the best school in the world but if they don’t know what school you go to then how can the they give you their feedback. They could come and ask you what school you are but not very many people do that.

Would you like good feedback on your school?

So I think that schools should have a school uniform, though I have been to a school witch have a compulsory uniform from year six onwards but from year 1 through to year six you coil wear whatever as long as you follow the dress code. I do prefer a uniform over non uniform school.
